Whitmill Christmas

We had a peacful christmas this year. I fully enjoyed myself. We celebrated to the fullest although I have mentally noted things we didn't get to this year that I want to do next year. WE went to the movies and saw Alvin and the chipmunks the squeakul. It wasn't that bad and the boys liked it so that is what is impt. We also enjoyed some VERY YUMMY fondue thanks to my moms exploration of google ( no you don't need a fondue pot to enjoy ) The boys opened presents galore and of course as little kids go - its never enough. I find myself taking less pics this year and I think that it is because I feel that I am somehow missing out. Anyway hope your christmas was merry and your new years fulfilling!

Happy birthday Ethan

Another Year gone and another year older for Ethan Lee. He had a good day or so he says...We opened presents in the morning (he got transformers, cars and a nerf sword.) Then we went to Carls Jr. for lunch so he could play at the playplace. My family came and gave him somemore presents lucky boy. We didn't want to do cake since we aren't big cake people so we got waffle cones, icecream and brownies. It was yummy. Hes no longer my baby anymore but I can still pretend right?!

First snow fall

We finally got our first real snow fall and the boys were in heaven. Once I told Aidan to stop throwing the snow in Ethans face they quickly began to play army guys. Then they needed real guys to play with which are now buried somewhere in the snow so hopefully once it melts we will be able to recover them.

Holiday Train

We decided to make a train instead of a gingerbread house this year. The boys were beside themselves to help make it and steal a little candy on the side.

Halloween Pics

So these are a little late but hey what can I say better than never. Ethan was Buzz Light year and Aidan was Bumble bee transformer. After getting into their costumes Aidan asked me to please call him bumble bee for the day. Then Ethan heard that and asked me to call him Mr. Buzz. We had a blast doing our usual halloween traditions.

Food for thought

Some of you might already know this story but I watched it the other day on Oprah and it really has had an impact on me. Stephanie Neilsons family is from Provo and this is the story of her and her husband after a plane crash in AZ. I was so impressed by her experience someone at work told me that she has a blog that she posts also. I have been reading through them and it has stirred such a strong desire to be alittle better. I wish I could find the right words to really explain what effect it has had but it seems to fail me. The clip is about 10 mins but well worth the watch and her blog is in my blog list under nie nie. I started reading all the way back to when she started blogging after the accident (jan 09) and couldn't get all through with out crying. She is amazing. Anyway heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO5Tj50C7dU and short followup http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRWipy3UJRI

In mourning

So Seth told me I needed to post pictures of this horrific event but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Yest morning Ethan was playing upstairs and I started to get worried when I didn't hear anything from him. As I walked up the stairs he explained to me that he needed to change his pants because the yellow ( I thought pee how dumb of me). Then proceeded to show me how he "cleaned". There are now bleach spots all over my upstairs carpet. As he sat on his bed I (in a rage) called Seth screaming do you know what your son just did...... Seth asked to talk to him and then told me Krish its okay a little boy is more important than carpet. No one goes upstairs anyway. WHAT... I do I care I go upstairs. MY CARPET. Now you maybe wondering how he got the bleach cleaner. Well he had peed on the floor in the bathroom the night before and Seth brought it up to clean and then left it on my dresser the next day. I tried to color in some of the spots with marker and it helped a little but I still know where they are. LESSON TO SELF:Never let Dennis the Menace (aka Ethan) out of my sight.
